The Wash Plant provides waste disposal services for all the following materials: Excavation waste, RUCARBS, Contaminated Fill, General Fill, Vacuum Truck and Dredge Waste, and Mixed Loads. Contaminated material includes petroleum contaminated fill, VOCs/SVOCs contaminated fill, and metals contaminated fill. 

The Wash Plant does not accept any material that is considered hazardous, or any material that is Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) contaminated. 

The Wash Plant will accept applications from any person, business, or facility that needs disposing of contaminated or uncontaminated fill. Applications can be found here.

Inbound unsuitable or out-of-spec material is processed through our closed-loop, zero-discharge soil washing plant after being approved to dump at the facility. We separate and sort the materials by particle size, allowing for the precise extraction of clean, in-spec saleable products and minimization of debris and waste to landfill. On top of this eco-friendly operation, the plant itself has a minimal impact to our environment - all of our processing equipment is electric, there is zero discharge to ground or surface waters, and we harvest and recycle over 3.6 million gallons of stormwater annually for the purpose of cleaning the soil in our process. 

A traditional landfill accepts material regardless of where it is in its lifecycle and buries it permanently. In almost every landfill there is an abundance of recoverable material that wastes valuable space. The Wash Plant separates out true waste from valuable resource, therefore only contributing what is necessary to the landfill. The Wash Plant is permitted by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation as a Part 360 Solid Waste Management Facility, and all prospective inbound material is thoroughly vetted prior to approval, enabling us to safely process perfectly recyclable material that would otherwise be permanently disposed of in a landfill. Using the ideology of Industrial Ecology, we recycle this material into high quality saleable products. With this plant, we can reduce the unsuitable content in the raw material to approximately 10% on average, with the remaining 90% being diverted from landfill and made available as recycled sands and aggregates. 

All our products are sampled and tested as they are produced at state certified laboratories to ensure they meet NYSDEC Part 375 cleanup specifications. Our products are manufactured from 100% post-consumer waste and go through a strict quality control protocol and sampling program to remain in compliance. Our recycled sands and aggregates are certified for Unrestricted use and can be custom manufactured to meet your project's specifications. 

Trucking is coordinated on a case-by-case basis. 

Our washed sands and gravels are recycled products, and therefore it is not possible to guarantee uniformity in the appearance of the product. However, our products can be custom manufactured to meet the specifications for your project.
